About me
I'm a New Zealander and I live in the North Island city of Wellington. I was about 10 years old I when I first started to play with seed beads (on a loom). However, I didn't think of beadwork as a hobby until much later, when I learned some very cool off-loom bead weaving techniques. I've been designing for 25 years now, and I'm addicted to beads more than ever! I find small beads and crystals incredibly inspiring to use as building materials. There are many bead-weaving ideas that I have not fully explored yet, and this is one of the reasons why I stick with 3D techniques. I see lots of opportunity for experimentation and discovery. I design animals that I find interesting, although I sometimes respond to requests from friends who want a particular animal like a raccoon, a chicken, or a monkey. Seahorses are my favourite creatures to make - there's something about their shape and the way they move that I really like. I love hearing from people and getting feedback, so don't be afraid to contact me. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please email me at 3Dbeady@gmail.com or use the contact form. My work can also be seen on Facebook, Pinterest, bead-patterns.com and Sova Enterprises. |
About the patterns
My patterns are clear, step-by-step, and extra helpful. I produce the kinds of patterns that I like to buy, and I prefer detailed instructions - where no head scratching is required, and it's all spelled out! Many of my newer patterns are watermarked with copyright info, & the purchasers name. This is to discourage file-sharing sites from distributing the patterns. These watermarks cannot be stripped out. They are placed diagonally behind the text, diagrams and photos, but the information can still be read and understood without any trouble. Here is a sample page. |
