3D Dolphin 
  • Techniques: sculptural peyote stitch and bead netting. The dolphin is made with a single one length of thread. 
  • Skill Level: Intermediate – requires confidence with shaped tubular peyote
  • Approx Finished Size: with seed beads 5 cm long, with cylinder beads 4.5 cm long

Method: 
  1. Start in the middle of the dolphin at the widest part of its chest. Work row by row, in sculptural tubular peyote towards the tail
  2. Make the tail flukes. 
  3. Complete the body, working from the middle towards the nose. The dolphin can be stuffed just before the nose is completed (optional). 
  4. Construct the dorsal fin & pectoral flippers directly onto the body. 
  5. Make a loop of beads on the back (optional).

Beads Required: size 11 seed beads or size 11 Japanese cylinder beads
